We are expanding into Somerset and are looking to start supporting vulnerable families from April 2018. To help get ready for this launch we are looking for 2 part-time Community Volunteer Managers to join our team to recruit and train volunteers and engage with and inspire local churches.

Role summary:

The Community Volunteer Manager is a key staff role with responsibility for ensuring that Safe Families’ work within a given region is resourced with a growing base of well-trained and well-supported volunteers. Key areas of work include promoting Safe Families among churches and other community organisations, securing the interest of new volunteer applicants and assisting them through the Safe Families ‘Safer Recruitment’ process, and developing a network of locally-based Safe Families volunteer coordinators.

The position will be based in Yeovil.
