Community Volunteer Manager Vacancy

Safe Families for Children is a Christian charity which started in the UK in 2013 and is now partnering with 21 local authorities in the Midlands, Greater Manchester, Mersey, the South Coast and the North East. Our goal is to help families in times of crisis and reduce the number of children being ‘looked after’ by offering respite care to children and befriending struggling parents and carers.

Role summary:

The Community Volunteer Manager is a key staff role with responsibility for building relationships with local churches to establish Safe Families within the church as one of the tools they can use to serve their community. The Community Volunteer Manager is essential in recruiting, training and supporting our volunteer base. The current position is primarily based in the Tees Valley; recruiting volunteers to meet the needs of families referred by local authorities.
