We are searching for two people to join our team in Edinburgh and the Lothians, a Community Volunteer Manager and a Family Support Manager.

Community Volunteer Manager role summary:
32 hours/week, includes Sunday working, circa £22-27k/annum pro rata.
The Community Volunteer Manager is a key staff role with responsibility for ensuring that Safe Families’s work within a given region is resourced with a growing base of well-trained and well-supported volunteers. Key areas of work include promoting Safe Families among churches and other community organisations, securing the interest of new volunteer applicants and assisting them through the Safe Families ‘Safer Recruitment’ process. You will also be responsible for developing a network of locally-based Safe Families volunteer coordinators and maintaining a high level of engagement with volunteers, churches and community groups.
Family Support Manager role summary:
24 hours/week, circa £24-32k/annum pro rata.
The Family Support Manager is a key staff role which takes end-to-end operational oversight of referrals which Safe Families responds to within the East of Scotland local authority areas; from initial referral, through matching and introducing volunteers, providing on-going mentoring and support to volunteers, to deciding when outcomes have been achieved and the case can be closed. The role requires extensive experience of working with children and families in a crisis, and in-depth knowledge and application of safeguarding principles and processes.
