When a crisis strikes a family with children, its effects can be devastating. Many of us would turn to relatives and friends for support. However, some families can be really isolated with nobody there to help them. Safe Families for Children provides support for such families whilst their issues are being resolved, often providing a short stay for their children with a trustworthy family, if needed. Research shows that local churches are becoming increasingly well equipped to help families in their community – on a family-to-family basis. That’s why Safe Families for Children places a special emphasis on working with churches to recruit and train the all-important volunteer force. If volunteering is of interest to you then please click the relevant link below to discover the many ways that you could personally make a difference to a family in crisis. Early in 2015 we will be launching further hubs in Greater Manchester, Mersey, Wales and West Midlands. You can click the map to find out more about these developments.
